When a student is absent due to an appointment with a health care professional and the appointment is supported by a document such as a note from the health care professional the student is considered in attendance. The student must be in class at least a portion of the day to be considered present. 19 TAC 129.21(k), TEC 25.087(b)(1)(A) Clyde High School and Clyde Junior High School: All student absences are automatically coded and recorded as Unexcused. The absence code will be corrected when the office receives a note from the parent, When a student is attending a school function, testing, or otherwise supervised by a teacher the absence will be corrected by the attendance clerk. Please allow one week for an unexcused absence to be correctly recorded. Click on the "Attendance" link to view your child's coded attendance. Clyde CISD is aiming for the Gold Performance Award.
